It is hard to belive it is already May and Mother's Day is May 9th!  Do you have a great handmade product that would make any Mom, Grandmother and even a Mother-in-law thrilled to open?  If so I invite you to share with the Marketplace readers by

• leaving a comment about your handmade product and
• why it would make a great gift and
• listing a DIRECT link to a blog post or product listing of the item.

The link must be a direct link to the individual handmade product either listed on your blog or an online shop.  Comments will be moderated and those listing a link must meet all three requirements above especially the direct link to an individual handmade product in order to be published.

The Business Side of Art has been a part of the Marketplace from the beginning but I didn't feel some of the links listed were getting the attention they deserved. 

So back last spring/summer when I started making my plans and goals for the future of the Marketplace, one of the things I wanted to do was give credit and attention to those that have paid their dues and earned the right to give us as artists and business owners advice.

Winter Biz Sessions hosted by Indie Biz Chicks

Although it is in the mid 70's and sunny here in SE Georgia I know many of you are cold and maybe even had enough snow to last you until next winter.  Why not take advantage of these winter days and join the Winter Biz Sessions?

The excitement of the holidays are over and now it’s just kind of … blah. When people get a case of the "blahs" they can lose passion for everything… including their business!

Register Now For The Winter Biz Sessions hosted by Crissy Herron of Indie Biz Chicks.  The sessions start January 26 and will be running through March 30.   Sessions will be held each Tuesday night from 9 - 10 pm Eastern.

There will be a new guest each week, and she will give a presentation on a business topic, such as how to wholesale your products, promote your business by doing a "blog world tour," how to increase your sales by creating better website copy, what NOT to do when starting your website, and to start working as a freelancer, and more!
